Course Description
 
This course is a general survey of astronomy.  No prerequisites are required. Some  numbers and algebraic relationships will be introduced. However, your main goal is to understand basic concepts, not to memorize the numbers.

The course is about the contemporary understanding of the Universe, where we live. You will be taken through history of astronomy and the world of close and distant celestial objects (such as stars, planets, comets, and galaxies). You will learn how modern technology helps us to uncover mysteries of the nature.
